Something about the web is not... same... any more. It's different now. Way different. That's what my really smart friends tell me, anyway. Perhaps not in those exact words (obviously I had to remove all of the math in order to make the message accessible for a general audience), but you get the idea. From my perspective, it seems to be true. For example, it's been years since I felt like using an HTML editor to work on a so-called "static" web page. What a waste of time! Why invest all that time and energy? Instead, these days, when I want to express myself in a public forum, I just concentrate really hard, and wait for my government-mandated-and-installed brain chip implant to decode the interesting patterns wafting through my synapses, after which I assume they wirelessly transmit the results to Google (who has been kind enough to take over this role from Bill Gates). What Google does with the decoded thoughts at that point, I really don't know. So after the concentrating/decoding/transmitting, I generally move on to having a nice snack, and then using one of these nifty tools: My Flickr Photo Archive My YouTube Video Archive My Delicious Bookmarks My Bloglines RSS Feeds Wikipedia |
